Mardi Gras in 2021 was different to other years with covid still a concern around the world – Mardi Gras was moved from Oxford st. over to the Sydney Cricket Ground and became a ticketed event. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to an open air box seat through a partner.
The spirits were high and although the floats had been shrunk to be able to access the stadium the atmosphere was great. The night was closed off with Rita Ora performing.
