It was a bit of a long but beautiful train ride getting to Takayama. The previous day had been beautiful and sunny with clear skies at about 33 degrees Celsius. Today looked t be the opposite with rain coming down along the journey and when I arrived in Takayama too.
The old town was something I’d been looking forward to seeing as it was a more historic representation of that the town looked like although when I got there I was actually a little underwhelmed; there were obviously all the tourist there taking photos and because of this the buildings themselves had all been turned to shops. Still, it was a nice little visit though.
