Teppen-Ya Restaurant

|

On my first night in Hiroshima, I decided to visit Teppen-Ya to enjoy the local cuisine of Okonomiyaki which was sort of a pancaked version of the usual Japanese ingredients cooked on a hotplate. First there was a crepe then cabbage then bean sprouts, green onion, noodle, pork and then eggs.

It was great watching the chefs cook in front of you and to be served you food still sat on the hotplate to keep it warm. You were given something that looked like a wallpaper scraper to cut up and serve the Okonomiyaki to your plate. A really tasty and cheap place to eat too.
