Towards the end of Nishiki Market, there was a ramen restaurant that was highly recommended on lonely planet. The food was really good and the restaurants have generally been awesome from the lonely planet guide. There was a meal combo for ramen and gyoza which I got and it was pretty reasonably priced too about 1500 yen.
